I love flying. Maybe it's the freedom, maybe it's the technical aspects...probably a bit of both.
The two planes I have a lot of interest in (besides my little Cessna 152-II) are the Northrop "Flying Wing" and the Cessna "Sky Master". I have included stories and histories on both planes.
I had always hung on to a Popular Mechanics article (originally published in January, 1987) about a kit plane based on ...you guessed it... the Northrop Flying Wing. It was known as the DavisWing or Davis "Starship Alpha". I have scanned in the four pages from the original magazine article for viewing, as well as re-typed the article for reading.
